We are well underway with two of the major international football tournaments. The results so far were expected, except the shoddy performance of Brazil that saw them eliminated at the group stages.

Messi spent the least time in the middle and has the most goals to show for it! True class speaks for itself!

Argentina remain firm favorites so far. Hope they compensate for the two major final defeats in two years!

Spain and Germany remain favorites at the Euros , with France and Italy to watch out for. I am rooting for Spain as usual. They won their first game thanks to the usual brilliance from Iniesta. A superstar made for the big occasion if there was one! He is probably playing his last major international for Spain and hopefully he will win it for them!

Most games played out as expected, including the England vs Russia draw.

I watched Austria vs Hungary today and cannot believe Austria were favorites. Hungary was clearly the better team and they won by outplaying Austria in every department.

There were some brilliant goals, Zoltan Stieber's chip against Austria for one, but Payet's swivel and shot for France against Romania is the goal of the Euro 2016 so far!

Cannot wait for the business end of the two tournaments to start!
