What to say, Messi retired from international football ? Still can't believe it. But a fourth final loss and third in three years would have broken him. I hope he reconsiders his decision.

Messi and the most under rated but no less brilliant Javier Mascherano deserve a world cup win.

Euro 2016 is pretty much progressing as expected, except Wales brilliant run. I fully expected England to be knocked out in QF's. Only Iceland were the surprise opposition there! Well done the Nordic boys!

Spain vs Italy was always going to be 50-50.  Spain simply did not have a striker to take advantage of their pocession. They need to find someone in David Villa class to reach the heights of 2008-12. Nolito and Morata are not in the same league.

Gareth Bale finally got to ply his trade on a big stage and how well has he done, along with Ramsey and Robson-Kanu! Hope to see a Wales vs Germany finals. Robson Kanu's Cruyff turn and strike against Belgium is the goal of the tournament for me, while Shaqiri's brilliant bicycle kick against Poland was absolute genius and will be talked about as the goal of the Euros/decade etc.
