I am typing these lines on a Pages template from the new iwork for iCloud. I of course intend to copy them into my blog.

iwork for icloud, it is the new online/cloud version of the iWork office suite from Apple. And competes in a crowded market place with Google Drive, Microsoft Skydrive, Zoho etc.

You access it by logging into your icloud account on beta.icloud.com. No surprises there, just 3 additional icons for Pages, Numbers and Keynote. So far, nothing new.

Click on Pages and a new window opens up. If you are on a Mac, it just knows how to position and size the new pop up. Select a template like you would on native iwork. There are some real cool templates in Pages and Numbers.

The first surprising feature is apparent as soon as you start typing something. It Autosaves instantly. Nothing beats that. You won't lose a letter you type. Awesome. Otherwise, all the formatting tools you expect from an office suite are standard.

Its not without its flaws, of course. For one, you cannot print from cloud directly, which is quite odd for such a nice product. Expect it to be fixed in the next release.
