Like i wrote y'day, Modi wins absolute majority, the first time in 30 years that a single party got a full majority. After 10 years of being reduced that of a dispatch clerk, the office of the prime minister will regain its dignity and be the highest executive authority in India.

As expected, our main stream English media does not seem very happy. They have been relentless in camppaigning for Congress over the last few years, so much for media being the fourth pillar of democracy. Just check this out: Mediacrooks.

Even while reporting the news today, especially, but not just NDTV and CNN-IBN, their leanings are evident in the way they say "the grand old party" concedes defeat while referring to Congress, while it is "Saffron Party" and not "Bharateeya" Janata Party. Even when the party won the mandate from all sections of the population irrespective of caste or religion.

Not my problem, though, they can write what they want. Its their self righteousness that irritates me. They should just stop calling themselves secular/liberal/intellectual and come out with their leftist, anti-national leanings openly. Oh sorry, i think one needs to have a spine to do anything like that. These masters of hypocrisy would  probably spin new narratives to cover their track record of the last 10 years. They might even start hailing Modi as the messiah!
